PRIME MINISTER LOOSE WITH TRUTH ON INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS FARCE

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has once again been loose with the truth when referring to Labor’s disastrous industrial relations legislation that passed through the Senate yesterday.

In what is becoming a usual occurrence, Mr Albanese and his Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke are blaming the Coalition for an embarrassing blunder by their own Government.

Yesterday in the Senate, the Labor Party did a shameful deal with the Greens and voted to allow small business owners to potentially face criminal charges and jail if they contact their employees outside of work.

The Coalition voted against this outrageous Greens “right to disconnect” amendment and the Coalition voted against Labor’s disastrous industrial relations Bill.

Mr Albanese and Mr Burke are now trying to blame the Coalition for the terrible legislation which their own party voted for and we voted against.

The bottom line is they stuffed up. Through their own incompetence they couldn’t get their own Bill right. Then Labor expected the Coalition to help them fix the legislation they couldn’t get right.

It makes you wonder what other errors are in Labor’s rushed Bill and the more than 100 amendments they rammed through the Senate.

Tony Burke has admitted he now needs to amend the legislation when it goes back to the House of Representatives.

Instead of admitting fault, Labor have chosen to blame someone else for problems of their own making.

This is the kind of immaturity you can expect from a Labor Government who have mismanaged the industrial relations legislation and economic policy of our country.
