COALITION WELCOMES NORTH WEST SHELF APPROVAL

The Coalition today welcomes the announcement that Woodside’s North West Shelf extension has been approved.

This extension will allow Australia to continue its reliable and secure position as an energy trading nation, whilst continuing to supply domestic gas to Western Australia.

Gas remains critical for the energy needs of Australians, and the energy needs of our international partners in Asia. It is imperative that Australia remain a secure, reliable investment destination, and energy exporter.
